Advocate is a monthly treatment that protects your dog from heartworm disease and intestinal worms. The active ingredient, Imidacloprid, works by stopping the growth of roundworms and hookworms. In addition to killing adult worms present at the time of application, Advocate also kills larvae and immature stages of roundworms and hookworms to prevent re-infestation with heartworm and intestinal nematode worms between treatments.
Unlike other gastrointestinal worming products, Advocate doesn't just kill the adult worms present at the time of treatment it also prevents further infestations.
